Shipyard Hakvoort as the builder, Diana Yacht Design as the exterior designer and naval architect and Felix Buytendijk Yacht Design as the interior designer teamed up for the eighth time to create another masterpiece.
The result is this beauty with classic bold lines with matching interior. Her Moondust colored hull give her personality and a modern twist.

On April 7 2017 brand new 125 feet long motor yacht Soprano successfully hit the water at Hakvoort Shipyard in Monnickendam. She is a yacht that has a lot to offer to her owners and guests. Her exterior was inspired on other famous DIANA yachts, like Pamela V and Heliad II. With her canoe stern and bold lines this new vessel has a classic look with a modern touch, her steel hull and aluminum superstructure make her suitable for blue water cruising.
A top speed of 13 knots and a range of not less than 5000 nm means she can bring her guests everywhere they want to go in comfort. Her foldout swimpatform provides easy access to the water for a refreshing swim!

Motor yacht Soprano houses four decks with generous dimensions. The bow of the yacht houses the crew area. Three double cabins and a crew mess offers space for a total of six crew members.
A full width stunning VIP stateroom is located aft on the cabin deck. A desk, nice soft sofa, walk in closet and luxurious en suite provides guests plenty of comfort. Two well-proportioned double guest cabins in front of the VIP stateroom, also with luxurious en suites, complete this guest area. A stairs located in the middle of the guest area gives direct access to the main deck. Large windows all over this deck flood the areas with natural light and gives magnificent views. The airy main salon aft on this deck has a warm and cozy ambiance, the large sliding doors allow cool wind to blow in. The large sofas and chairs invite to relax and have a nice conversation, a settee that easily fits up to 10 guests is located adjacent.

Amidships the galley and lobby separates the aft salon from the elegant private owners area fore of the yacht. The full beam master suite with seating area, owners desk, large walk in closet and en suite with double hand wash and shower gives absolute privacy and comfort.

The bridge deck is completely devoted to relaxation and entertainment. A large oval table outside on the aft deck is perfect for al fresco breakfasts, diners and after dinner parties while inside guests can gather on the game table or take a seat on the sofa.

The generous sized sundeck has several sunbeds around the Jacuzzi and a nice table to gather for breakfast or enjoy the evening with a cocktail party.

Special features on board are:
– A fold-down platform admidships at the waterline will be recessed into the side of the hull giving acces to the water for boarding and swimming.
– Main tender on aft bridge deck, MOB boat and laser sailboat on foredeck.

Under the management of Yacht-Marine, Ginton Naval Architects has been appointed for the design of a 43 meter displacement motor yacht.

The hull will be build in steel and features a pronounced bulbous bow. The walk-around-superstructure will be build in aluminium. Two tenders are placed in the bow, but will be mostly hidden from view, allowing for an impressive seating area in front of the wheelhouse, with a spectacular sea-view. The owner’s cabin is situated on a private owner’s deck and all decks are accessible by lift also. The interior design has been assigned to Hot Lab design from Milan, Italy and can accommodate up to 12 guests.

The beating heart of the ship that is the engine room houses 2 MTU 8V2000M72 720kW engines and 3 Caterpillar 4.4 generators. With a fuel capacity of just over 40000L this ship will have a trans-Pacific range. Fixed bilge keels in combination with CMC stabilizers will increase the roll period and therefore comfort levels both at sea and at anchor.

In december 2016 the actual building of the steel hull took off in Istanbul Turkey at Yildiz Gemi shipyard and delivery is scheduled for 2018.

A new yacht concept is being built by Jetten Shipyard, styled by Cor D. Rover, with naval architecture by Van Oossanen. The vessel has a length of 65 ft and features Van Oossanen’s Fast Displacement Hull and a Hull Vane®.

The design provides for maximum comfort onboard, large open living spaces, a comfortable VIP cabin in the forward part of the yacht, and an owner’s cabin with panoramic views in the aft part.

Maximum performance and comfort is guaranteed by Van Oossanen’s patented Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), allowing the yacht, featuring two 550 HP Cummins engines, to reach 20 knots – providing excellent fuel efficiency and sailing comfort. This is further enhanced by the addition of Van Oossanen’s patented Hull Vane®. Apart from an average fuel saving over the total speed range of 11%, the Hull Vane® reduces motions in waves. The Computational Fluid Dynamics simulations carried out show that in the sea conditions typically encountered in the North Sea heave motions are reduced by 7%, pitching motions by 13%, and vertical accelerations on the aft deck by 10%.

The build of the vessel commenced in June 2016. The Jetten 65 is scheduled for presentation in 2017.

This week the new build NG1550 Explorer of Next Generation Shipyards was launched. The yard although being rather new, combines a group of very experienced people with survey vessels, pilot boats and the sailing yacht Elocution on their track record.

The styling, interior and full naval architecture was carried out by Van Dorresteijn Design. The whole design has been a great example of what can be achieved when an owner, designer and yard work closely together to achieve the best for all parties. The owner and the designer spend many hours behind the drawing board working on every little detail.

The yard supported the majority of the idea’s and did their utmost to achieve a high build quality while maintaining a close eye on the weight control together with the designer.

Above picture was taken during the first trail. The speed, right out of the box, was already above the contract specification. The speed was around 26+ knots, however some fine tuning is still to be done.  The focus is however now on getting the vessel 100% ready for its presentation at the upcoming Hiswa in-water boatshow.

The interior has been also quite a challenge. A complex combination of a two level interior and still being low enough to pass through the France channels. The vessel incorporates two cabins with double beds and each their own bathroom and ample sitting space on the lower deck level and in the wheelhouse for dining or just having a drink.

Just three months after her successful launch expedition yacht Legend left for her maiden trip. With exterior design and naval architecture by DIANA she transformed into an icebreaking passengership with a 1B-Swedish/Finnish classification. She was lengthened in the stern by 3,60 metre, completely restyled by extending the superstructure and rebuilding the mast to make her sleeker and more attractive for future charter guests. More deck space is created for relaxing and enjoying the environment. Heavy cranes were added to lift all toys and tenders one can imagine. The aft deck was transformed into a fully classified helicopter deck. Above that she is fully Lloyd’s and SOLAS certified.

She left Icon Yachts in Harlingen last evening and went out into the Northsea for her first nautical miles. Within a short time she will receive her first guests who can enjoy a safe and comfortable experience on board this amazing yacht.

The fully classified helicopter deck on the aft deck, a swim platform and large swimming pool / Jacuzzi in the stern, a luxurious submarine and lots of watertoys and tenders strengthen the feeling of pleasure and excitement. The fitness room, movie theatre, bar, and a music corner with a Grand piano and other music instruments for nice live music offers enough for inside entertainment.

Legend is a fully Lloyd’s classified Class 1B icebreaking ship so she is capable to visit all areas of the world such as the Antarctic’s in safety. Her darkgrey hull gives her the elegance she deserves and makes her stand out beautifully in arctic areas.

With a total length of 77.4 meters she is capable of carrying 30 guests in all comfort and luxury one could wish for, experiencing the trip of a lifetime.
